Jomsocial Application Plugin
Jomsocial gehört ähnlich wie die erfolgreiche Gallerie Komponente "JoomGallery" zu den hoffnungsvollsten Komponenten die für Joomla 1.5 zur Zeit erhältlich sind. Allerdings unterscheiden sie sich in einem Punkt der des öfteren für Zündstoff gesorgt hat. Die Community Komponente Jomsocial ist im Vergleich zur JoomGallery nicht "Open Source" und darum kostenpflichtig.
Dieser unterschiedliche Ansatz steht meiner Meinung nach jedem Entwickler frei und sollte deshalb auch nicht einer Integrierung der JoomGallery in Jomsocial im Wege stehen.
Was für die JoomGallery und deren weitere Verbreitung durchaus sinvoll wäre ist ein eigenes Plugin für Jomsocial zu entwickeln was es in ähnlicher Form auch schon…

JomSocial is Open Source since a few versions now, but there is still no public download possibility.

Wir sind immer noch dazu bereits, ein solches Plugin zu schreiben, dies ist aber nicht möglich, solange JomSocial nicht regelmäßig aktuelle Versionen frei zur Verfügung stellt. -

a tagging component plugin would greatly improve the organisation of large galleries. A single category hierarchy is (in comparison) quite restricted.

Rotate images
EN: It would be great to have the option to rotate the images after upload. Either in back-end only, or in both in front-end and back-end.
DE: Bilder sollten in der Galerie gedreht werden können (auf jeden Fall im Backend, optional auch im Frontend).

searchable EXIF / IPTC / XMP
Die Informationen in den EXIF / IPTC / XMP Feldern der hochgeladenen Bildern sollten beim Upload in die entsprechenden Felder der Datenbank übernommen werden können. Die wichtigsten Felder (Titel, Kommentar, Beschreibung etc.) sind in bereits in der Datenbank vorhanden und müssten lediglich mit den korrespondierenden Daten vom EXIF / IPTC / XMP gefüllt werden. Es wäre somit eine Suche nach EXIF / IPTC / XMP Daten möglich.

Exclude specific categories from toplist
On some sites/galleries there is need for excluding pictures from a specified category in toplistings (last added, most viewed ...).
T.ex on a site having a adult category with warnings for visitors about the content, it's bad to get the same pictures listed in toplis without any warnings upfront.

tag based categories
I would love to see the ability to tag and/or batch tag images with keywords, (i.e. "London") and then creating galleries based on tags, such that they would be displaying images from across the entire joomgallery which match one or more specified tags.
This way the gallery would be amazingly flexible, and it would also serve as a possible implementation of another feature request on this site called "Featured Images". One could tag an image "Featured" and then display it in a "Featured Images" gallery, based on the tag.

Integration of a payment system to download pictures
I wish I could use JoomGallery to sell my photos. We should therefore be able to download the original images integrated with a payment system (eg. Paypal).

Featured Images
Add an extra column with a simple on/off switch to the image manager to allow an Admin or Users to feature certain manually selected images.
This should then integrate with the joomimages module so it can be set to display featured images from all or only the specified categories.

Mobile template for JoomGallery so that when you visit the website from a iphone, ipad or android device everything looks slick and nice! Auto detect if you use a computer or a mobile device. Like a custom mobile menu and photo/gallery lists that are optimized for mobile screens!

Better CSS compatible HTML code
The HTML Code should be more variable with CSS. Every Tag should have a unique class. The Name should be a h2 or h3 tag, not an list and bold tag and so on....
