Ich habe auf meiner Website www.sgoda.de einige Landkarten, die im Original sehr groß sind. JoomGallery's Slimbox zeigt die Karte natürlich perfekt, aber leider nur der Bildschirmgröße gemäß. Toll wäre es, wenn diese Karten oder natürlich auch andere Bilder ;-) in der Box zoombar und vielleicht sogar auch noch verschiebbar wären - a la Google Maps halt.

Using a java/flash image uploading frontend that can also resize the pictures using our own computers resources would take off some of the load from the servers that are used for hosting, this would also eliminate some of the errors we get from trying to upload a picture that is to large.

a tagging component plugin would greatly improve the organisation of large galleries. A single category hierarchy is (in comparison) quite restricted.

You change sh404sef urls making our old versions useless alot of us are still trapped with version 1.5.0.5 due to this issue you refuse to fix even though there's been many threads on the forums asking why you did such a thing. If i upgrade JoomGallery i'll have to change 3 thousand urls. Here is just 1 thread of the same subject you refuse to answer !!!!! http://www.forum.en.joomgallery.net/index.php?topic=3372.0 We don't want new features we just expect our old features to work.

Jomsocial gehört ähnlich wie die erfolgreiche Gallerie Komponente "JoomGallery" zu den hoffnungsvollsten Komponenten die für Joomla 1.5 zur Zeit erhältlich sind. Allerdings unterscheiden sie sich in einem Punkt der des öfteren für Zündstoff gesorgt hat. Die Community Komponente Jomsocial ist im Vergleich zur JoomGallery nicht "Open Source" und darum kostenpflichtig. Dieser unterschiedliche Ansatz steht meiner Meinung nach jedem Entwickler frei und sollte deshalb auch nicht einer Integrierung der JoomGallery in Jomsocial im Wege stehen. Was für die JoomGallery und deren weitere Verbreitung durchaus sinvoll wäre ist ein eigenes Plugin für Jomsocial zu entwickeln was es in ähnlicher Form auch schon für bekannte Komponenten wie Eventlist oder Seyret gibt.. Denn betrachtet man die Entwicklung bei Jomsocial mal genauer, dann kann man(n) mit Sicherheit sagen das sie sich zu einer der beliebtesten Community Komponenten für Joomla 1.5 entwickeln wird. Allerdings sind die Gallery Funktionen dieser Komponente ehr dürftig und da liegt meiner Meinung nach auch die große Stärke der JoomGallery. Denn mal ehrlich es gibt niemanden bei dem man wirklich jeden Pups so haargenau anpassen kann wie in der JoomGallery. Ich plädiere hier nicht für die eine oder andere Komponente, sondern nur im Sinne von uns allen für eine bessere Anbindung von unterschiedlichen Komponenten miteinander. Dafür wäre das Jomsocial Plugin sicher ein wichtiger Schritt für die Zukunft von Joomla. Und wer könnte sowas besser realisieren als jemand der die die Kompenente JoomGallery so erfolgreich gemacht hat...wie das Team und die Community die sich rund um um diese tolle Komponente entwickelt hat. Ich rufe hiermit alle auf für ein eigenes Plugin der JoomGallery zur Anbindung an die Community Komponente Jomsocial zu voten! Danke

At the moment users can only see the images and categories they have created when they log in. This could cause a duplication of images and categories making the front end gallery view very messy for the non registered public. This functionality is only available to a SUPER ADMIN at present which if set in permissions for all registered users would give them full backend and frontend access to the whole Joomla site, obviously not a good idea!
